Kateri House

Kateri's Companions in Ministry is a lay mission association within the Roman Catholic Church. We are named after Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha (1656-1680). (See list of external links.)

We are committed to service in First Nations communities. Our mission is one of hope and healing. We seek to live with practical, persevering love rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Kateri's Companions in Ministry Inc. is a non-profit organization, "trading as" Kateri House. We are a registered charity, and are dependent entirely on donations.

Kateri House is an urban native ministry centre for Prince Albert and area. Over the years, we have learned that what people need most is someone who will listen to their concerns - someone they can turn to for support when the going gets tough. And that's what Kateri House is all about, whether these concerns be spiritual, material, or social.

Waltera baptizes baby at Holy Cross Church

We serve Holy Cross Catholic Church at Sturgeon Lake First Nation SK.

We assist Cree families there with faith formation and lay ministry development.  We pray together and celebrate children's baptisms.

Pat Grisé organizes donated food
